Office Moves - Case Study

Client Requirements

Control Group were engaged to work with one of the country’s leading digital marketing companies.

The requirement was to replace 60 existing older desks with new furniture with as little disruption to the staff as possible.


Project Solution

Starting at 5pm on a Friday evening, Control Group Move Team removed all crates, chairs and pedestals to a temporarily storage area within the building.

Control Group IT Team then decommissioned IT from 60 desks, wrapped it and placed it into shelved security cages. The cages were then moved to a secure room for the duration of the activities.

Once all desks were cleared of IT and all cables had been removed from desk management system, Control Group operatives then dismantled the 60 desks and removed them from site for recycling.

While this was happening a second team was building 60 new desking in an adjacent room.

Once the area had been cleared of old furniture the team then placed the new furniture into its final positions. The desks were then quality checked before allowing the IT team to retrieve the caged IT from the  secure storage area and then placing it onto the new desks.  The IT Team then commissioned all the IT, tidied cables in the desk management and ensured every position was connected and working.

Finally the Move Team return all crates, chairs and pedestals to final positions.
